Qantas seals codeshare to Japan via Singapore
SYDNEY -Qantas and Japan Airlines will expand their codeshare agreement to include services between Australia and Japan via Singapore from June 1.
Qantas Airlines group executive commercial Rob Gurney said the new Qantas codeshare services to Osaka and Tokyo via Singapore would provide customers with significantly improved options for travel between the two countries.
“The expanded codeshare arrangement will provide daily connecting flights at Singapore to Tokyo and Osaka from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth,†he said.
The new services complement Qantas’ existing offering between Australia and Japan; its daily service between Sydney and Tokyo and its three direct flights per week between Perth and Tokyo.
As a part of the agreement, Japan Airlines will place its code on Qantas services connecting at Singapore to Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.
