Qantas to Mumbai – to the heart of India
Those who know The Mole will also know that TravelMole prides itself on editorial integrity at all times and if something is not right, then The Mole will certainly say so!
Quite a refreshing approach in this world of travel writing and reporting, where many colleagues simply do not write about things that are not right, an approach that we do not agree with!
In any case, The Mole travelled from Sydney to Mumbai this week and Qantas CEO Geoff Dixon and his team will be delighted to hear that Qantas’ service to Mumbai from Sydney with a brief stopover in Darwin, was absolutely faultless.
Now, admittedly, The Mole was in Business Class, while also taking a little snoop around the aircraft, chatting with a few people in economy on the very full flight, and all were very happy indeed with the whole experience and the service.
Back at the pointy end, the Qantas Sky Beds are amazing and quite simply, the best lie flat seats The Mole has ever sat in and slept in.
What was also all pervading was the quantum leap in excellent quality of the happy, smiling crew, something Qantas has been criticised recently for not achieving or having even lost. Everyone I spoke with said the same thing!
The food was also really excellent with a really good choice of well prepared tasty meals to suit a range of diets including vegetarians.
The selection of Q entertainment has also improved significantly since I was last in the pointy end of a Qantas flight with a huge number of blockbuster movies, TV shows and music to keep The Mole entertained.
Hey Geoff, looks like you have got that quality Qantas service back on track – well done to you and your team for achieving that and we all hope that it is sustainable.
I am even looking forward to my return flight!
