Qatar Air expanding JetBlue codeshare agreement

Wednesday, 29 Oct, 2015 0
Major Gulf carrier Qatar Airways has announced an expansion of its codeshare agreement with JetBlue.

It will take effect from March 16, 2016, the day Qatar launches its maiden flight to Boston, with an additional 29 new codeshare destinations on the airline’s route network.

"The strengthening of this codeshare agreement comes at a time when Qatar Airways is focused upon expanding its own direct links to the United States and beyond, with the launch of non-stop services to Los Angeles, Atlanta and Boston throughout 2016," said Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker.

New routes added from Boston include Austin, Denver, Las Vegas, Nantucket, New Orleans, San Diego and Seattle.

It gives Qatar Airways passengers seamless transfers at both Boston and New York, one-time check-in and baggage handling through to the final destination.
