Qatar buys second UK hotel
Qatar Airways has bought the Novotel Edinburgh Park Hotel in Scotland.
The 170-room four-star hotel will continue to be managed and operated by Accor under the Novotel brand.
In March, Qatar acquired the Sheraton Skyline Hotel at Heathrow Airport in London, its first outside of Qatar.
The Edinburgh hotel has a direct tram link to both the airport (15 minutes) as well as Edinburgh city centre (25 minutes) and is on the doorstep of Edinburgh Business Park.
The airline said it plans to add further hotels in North America, the UK and in other key locations.
