Radisson Blu checking into Vietnam hotspot Phu Quoc

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has signed a management contract for its second hotel in Vietnam, bringing the Radisson Blu brand to one of Asia’s hottest tourism growth markets, Phu Quoc.

In cooperation with Phu Quoc Tourist Investment & Development JS Company, the new build Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc is slated to open in late 2017 with 522 rooms and suites.

It will feature all-day dining, a fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, spa and a VIP Lounge, along with the Casino Phu Quoc, the first of its kind for the domestic market.

The hotel is part of an integrated resort which will house a convention centre, a safari park, theatre, water park, retail and dining outlets, and a golf course.

Vietnam’s tourism industry is growing at nearly 29% so far in 2017, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

Phu Quoc, a large tropical island in the extreme south, is leading the way with a host of international hotel brands entering the market.

Carlson Rezidor’s Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh Bay is scheduled to open next year.
