Rainbow Arokaya a healthy alternative
BANGKOK – The Rainbow Arokaya holistic longevity centre at Chachoengsao is emerging as one of Thailand’s leading health retreats.
Thailand’s growing reputation as a destination catering for all aspects of medical and cosmetic procedures is showcased at Rainbow Arokaya where Vichada Vongsanitaya, president of the resort, says special treatments to correct posture are one of the secrets to relieving chronic pain.
Alternative treatments at Rainbow Arokaya include volcanic sand baths, mineral baths, ion therapy, dome sauna, detoxification using nanotechnology, ear therapy and meditation.
The 34-room resort in tropical gardens on the banks of the Bang-Pa-Kong River has a number of different room styles and packages ex-Bangkok lasting from two days to seven days.
The resort recommends a minimum three-night stay, but has flexible packages to suit groups and individual travellers.
Leisure activities at the resort include river cruising on a private boat to the 2000 rye islands of Kho Lad.
The health centre is an hour from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport.
Standard two day-one night packages start at 14,500-baht (US$487) and include complimentary transfers to and from Bangkok, special treatments, three meals a day, accommodation, health consultation, meditation therapy and the leisure activities programme.
The seven night, six day programme leads in at 87,000 baht (US$2,900), rising to 390,000 baht (US$13,100) for the Presidential Suite Dome Complex.
