Record numbers for Le Shuttle
Le Shuttle carried a record number of passenger vehicles from mid-July to early September, carrying 563,750 cars, an increase of 2% compared to 2016.
Parent company Eurotunnel said investments in its premium service, including the new Flexiplus lounge in France which opened on July 15, bore fruit with a 6% increase in bookings for the product during the summer.
Le Shuttle revenues were up 4% to €179.3 million
Eurostar traffic was up 4% during the third quarter. Overall, Eurotunnel’s total revenues for the third quarter rose to €286.4 million, a 3% year on year increase.
