Remember to pack a good book
Those with a phobia of long plane journeys should make a note to avoid Singapore Airlines’ proposed service between the island state and the city of Los Angeles.
According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, the carrier is due to introduce the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight in the new year, breaking the existing record.
The carrier already has a service between the two cities but the flight is presently broken for a refuelling stop at Hong Kong – but with the introduction of the Airbus A340-500, the stop will no longer be necessary.
The newspaper reports that the longest non-stop flight is currently the New York to Hong Kong service operated by Continental Airlines.
