Reminder not to fumble away the Super Bowl
The clever pr folks at Cloud 12 are promoting a company that will help travelers who face the “impending shortage and inevitable price gouging of hotel rooms in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area during Super Bowl weekend.”
Their solution: iStopOver.com. The site connects visitors with homeowners who have spare rooms, apartments, condos and even entire houses to rent with sports travelers seeking affordable and short-term housing in Dallas and the surrounding areas for the Super Bowl.
“With iStopOver’s social interaction, travelers can securely seek out rooms based on a home-away-from home philosophy, and amenities that the hosts offer, such as your favorite beer in the fridge, snacks in the pantry, and rides to and from the stadium, “ the pr firm says.
Hosts make all the arrangements with their guests before they arrive.
Of course, the site goes beyond the Super Bowl.
Guests search their city of choice, identify/select the accommodation they want, and then interact with the host to make the booking.
The web site also lets hosts review their guests, and allows guests to rate their hosts. That feature presumably adds a sense of security for travelers.
