One of Australia’s leading luxury tour wholesalers has a rare vacancy for an experienced and progressive thinking Reservation Manager for their Customer Contact Centre located in Melbourne’s outer south-eastern suburbs. The successful applicant will have: At least 5 years experience in the travel industry with 2 years at management level. Proven sales and leadership skills. High attention to detail. The ability to communicate on all levels. Experience in dealing with and managing Customer Service Levels. Experience in staff management and performance appraisals. The position of Reservation Manager includes: Delivering industry leading customer service. Maximizing accuracy in written and verbal information provided to customers. Embedding a customer centric and sales focused culture. Day to day allocation of tasks and management of work processes in conjunction with Team Leaders to achieve the timely, efficient and accurate function of processes in sales, tour services and visa departments. Recruiting staff. Remuneration review within budgets. Performance management of staff including formal performance reviews, informal reviews, position description reviews and counseling where necessary. Ensuring appropriate staffing levels for all operating times. Assessment of training needs and development of training programs as required on an ongoing basis (including technical and systems training, company products training and sales and service training). Development and implementation of appropriate incentive programs. Contribution to management decision making and strategic direction of the business.
