Risky business: Are you prepared?
The School of Leisure Sport and Tourism, University of Technology- Sydney and ANTOR (Association of National Tourist Office Representatives) are jointly staging a half-day conference to explore solutions to the challenges of risk management and recovery strategies as they affect the tourism industry.
The conference will hear from Australia’s leading experts in the field.
David Beirman, senior lecturer – tourism management at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), said, “The management of risk, crisis and recovery remains a major challenge to all tourism destinations and businesses and the Icelandic volcanic eruption of April demonstrated that an unexpected event can still cause chaos for all segments of the tourism industry.â€
The conference will take place on Thursday July 22, from 1330-1830 Building 5 Room B 528, Graduate School of Business, Quay St Haymarket (Sydney).
The cost for travel industry professionals is $70 pp and includes presentations, afternoon tea, post conference cocktails and refreshments.
