What’s the most luxurious hotel property?

Ritz-Carlton barely edged out Peninsula in the opinion of those surveyed by the Luxury Institute.

This was the second consecutive year Ritz-Carlton beat Peninsula.

Other top-rated chains in order included Crillon, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Inter-Continental, Le Meridien, Leading Hotels of the World and Loews.

The survey asked respondents to name the best based on the best product, customer service, most trusted and most innovative.

The institute surveyed more than 500 households with a minimum of $200,000 in gross annual income and a net worth of at least $750,000.
