The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. unveiled its totally redesigned web site to include 15,000 pages of new information, complete with streamlined navigation tools and interactive design features.

“With more than 16 million unique visits to our web site in 2006, we wanted to offer our customers around the world the most user-friendly and innovative technology available on the Internet,” said Bruce Himelstein, senior vice president, sales and marketing.

Among the special features of The Ritz-Carlton web site redesign is the addition of over 1,000 specially shot images to showcase the 61 Ritz-Carlton Hotels worldwide, as well as the 35 new properties opening from Dublin to Dallas..

Detailed photos of hotel facilities from guestrooms to meeting rooms are now available to view for consumers, travel agents and meeting planners.

In recognition of the growing number of customers requesting information from international destinations, the Web site will offer global sites in Mandarin-Chinese and Japanese, beginning later this month.

“It is important for our overseas customers to be able to access needed information in their own language,” Mr Himelstein explained.

In addition to comprehensive information on hotels and their facilities, the new corporate Web site includes updates on hotel initiatives including The Community Footprints corporate philanthropy program, highlights from the award-winning Ritz-Carlton Magazine, and The Leadership Center, which has testimonials from clients about the educational programs available for executive training.

As The Ritz-Carlton web site was redesigned, there was a strong emphasis on providing sophisticated content delivery. While the new site contains considerably more information and data, the user will be able to easily control the amount of detail needed by just clicking, according to Mr Himelstein.
