Robert De Niro to open London hotel
Robert De Niro is to develop a luxury hotel in central London.
The 83-room Wellington Hotel has just got planning permission and is set to open in 2019.
It will be located across six adjacent buildings and will have a spa, restaurant, private members’ club and retail space.
It will be De Niro’s third foray into the hotel business, alongside the Greenwich hotel in Manhattan and the Nobu Hotel in Manila.
The Manila hotel, co-owned by De Niro, was named one of the worst new luxury hotels by Luxury Travel Intelligence last year.
