Robin Hood take off for EasyJet
EasyJet is to launch its first flights from the new Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.
The budget carrier is to run daily ski flights to Geneva from December 15 in an expansion of its UK regional departure points.
The airline is also adding daily flights to Geneva from Edinburgh and weekly flights to the Swiss city from Glasgow on December 17.
Seats are going on sale via the easyJet website starting at £54.98 return.
Airline chief executive Ray Webster said: “EasyJet is delighted to be launching these new connections between Scotland and Robin Hood Airport and the most popular ski destination in Europe, giving skiers the opportunity to experience the flexibility and savings of travelling independently, with the additional convenince of flying from their local airport.”
Robin Hood managing director David Ryall said: “With the proven desire by people in the region to fly from Robin Hood Airport, 250,000 passengers in the first 12 weeks of operation, we are hopeful that this will be the first of many easyJet services to come to the airport.”
