Romantic Travel for Couples

Travelling with your partner gives the opportunity of knowing each other very well as the trip keeps you together all through; To avoid the unnecessary issues and problems, couples must follow some tips.

Advice 1: Couples should ensure that they do not bring up any such topics that have never been discussed earlier as it can bring unnecessary strain. Vacations are meant for enjoyment so stress must not invade during this period. Avoid talking about political views, ex-partners and even about personal hassles and difficulties.

Advice 2: Hunger and exhaustion are enough to create irritation and trouble between two people. Instead of arguing on where to eat or what to eat, it is better to take turns deciding about the choice of foods.

Advice 3: Before travelling, it is important to set some guidelines but make sure it does not go overboard. Setting guidelines will help in reducing bad habits that may not be liked by each of you.

Advice 4: Partners should follow some mutual decorum in terms of morning rituals. It is better to sip some beverage or glance through a magazine while your partner gets through the morning rituals. Bathroom sharing is an important issue that can crop up and start an unavoidable argument anytime.

Advice 5: Partners, especially girls must be responsible for their bags. Your partner may not be in the mood of carrying your bag along with his every time. Moreover, a heavy bag will mean more misery for both of you. So, pack lightly and carry only that much which is necessary and what you can carry without help from others.

Advice 6: You should ensure to have a navigational backup like GPS or map while you travel to unknown cities. As the place is new to both of you, there is a chance of getting lost. Instead of arguing about the right ways, it is better to follow the map and find the way out.

Advice 7: Couples should never make the mistake of opting for shared rooms even if they are on a budget trip. They should always opt for private rooms because a good sleeping situation is essential for a good next day trip. A bad sleep might lead to incidents caused by misdirected irritation.

Advice 8: Make a budget that is enough for the trip. Each of you should carry enough cash so that you do not have to be dependent on your partner to make purchasing decisions. The best way is to keep the cash or credit card somewhere other than the pocket or purse, so that it cannot be easily stolen.

Advice 9: Couples should opt for some alone time. A long trip means spending time with the same person every day and every night. This can become tough sometimes. It is better to read books or sit alone for some time even for half an hour every day. This is a good way to relax and avoid usual annoyances.

Advice 10: Couples interested in meeting other travellers or locals, needs to be more approachable and friendly. It is required as most couples carry the tag of ‘leave us alone’ and people hardly feel comfortable approaching them. Therefore, if you want to be sociable make the first step for friendship.
