Luxury retreat Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth, is launching its own Art Program. The series of carefully curated experiences is designed to immerse guests in the vibrant creative culture of St. Barth.

Seen as the latest evolution of the hotel’s cultural offerings, the program provides privileged access to the island’s artistic community. It includes guided tours, artist encounters, customized self-guided itineraries, and, at its heart, exhibitions by local artists in residence at the hotel.

For many decades, St. Barth has been attracting artists, collectors, and culture lovers from around the world. Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Bartha has in fact always been coveted by artists from around the world.

From the avant-garde galleries of Gustavia to artisan workshops, the island’s art scene blends Caribbean soul with contemporary sophistication.

A resort as an open-air art gallery

Rosewood Le Guanahani now doubles as an open-air art gallery, thanks to a dynamic collaboration with the Artists of St. Barth. The paintings, sculptures, photographs, and installations throughout the property invites guests to discover the island’s art in situ.

Exhibitions by artists in residence in the establishment’s public spaces are renewed throughout the seasons. The hotel currently welcomes Antoine Verglas, a renowned fashion photographer born in Paris and known for his evocative portraits of supermodels and celebrities.

Artist GC brings striking tufted textile works to provide a bold and tactile dimension to traditional mural art.

Dvis Dformes, a former mechanic, transforms engine parts into three-dimensional sculptures inspired by St. Barth.

While Roger Moreau is a sculptor and painter famous for his poetic heart-shaped creations made from stones collected on the island. Together, these artists create an evolving gallery that brings energy, edge, and a distinct local soul to the hotel’s public spaces.

The hotel organizes artist-led salons, discussions, and previews held throughout the year, opened to all public.

The Rosewood Le Guanahani art program

To complete the hotel experience, an art program features two distinct formats of tours, each offering an immersive look at the island’s most fascinating voices and cultural spaces.

For a deeper connection with the creative pulse of the island, the artistic guided tour provides a three-hour experience, led by a local expert with deep ties to the island’s artistic community.

The tour begins with a presentation of the hotel’s collection before venturing to Gustavia to explore the main artistic sites.

The tour includes:

– A champagne toast at the St. Barth Artists’ Gallery.

A guided walk through Gustavia, ending with a private meeting at artist Véronique Vandernoot‘s boutique. Guests get a behind-the-scenes look at her creative process and have the opportunity to preview new works. During the guided tour, guests are also able to admire Vandernoot’s handcrafted signage along the route, a creative signature woven into the fabric of the island’s visual identity.

– In Gustavia, a leisurely stroll through the historic downtown area allows visitors to discover the famous Anglican church and to get a glimpse of colonial and contemporary architecture.

This immersive journey offers a personal connection to the stories, people, and passion that define the art scene of St.Barth.

Self-guided tour

For guests who prefer to explore at their own pace, the self-guided art tour offers a flexible and enriching itinerary. When picking up their rental car, guests receive a beautifully illustrated map—commissioned from a local artist—highlighting the island’s notable creative destinations, including St. Barth Artists’ Gallery and museums of Gustavia.

The tour also includes a Le Guanahani artisanal mocktail, the perfect refreshment for an afternoon of discovery.
