Royal Caribbean bolsters sales force
Seven new recruits have been confirmed by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line to complete a revamp of its UK and Ireland sales force.
The new appointments create dedicated field sales teams for Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises, including Azamara Cruises.
The seven-strong Royal Caribbean International field sales team includes two new staff; one new account manager has joined the new Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises field sales force, taking the team to five; and four new employees within an enlarged National Accounts team.
Mark Walter has become as head of field sales for Royal Caribbean International and was formerly national sales manager of Norwegian Cruise Line. He also launched and managed So Travel, part of the Global Travel Group. He reports to new sales director for all brands, Richard Roberts.
Joining existing account managers on the Royal Caribbean International field sales team, new recruit David Sanderson becomes a major account manager for Scotland and the North. Most recently working in a Sales Manager role for Dakota Hotels, Sanderson also has previous experience with Icelandair.
Lee Barker joins from rival Complete Cruise Solution as a new national account manager.
The three new key account managers on the national accounts team are Stuart Pearce for the South East, Sarah Imrie for the North East, and Karen Hedley for the North West. Pearce joins from Island Cruises, Imrie from Carnival Cruise Lines and Holland America and Hedley from the Global Travel Group.
Joining the five-strong Celebrity sales team is Frances Williams as a major account manager for the South East region.
All new brand-dedicated roles will be in place by July 1.
