Royal Caribbean launches 2008 Europe brochure
Royal Caribbean Cruises Line has launched its Europe and the Med 2008 brochure early, and with its largest ever fleet deployment in the region.
With the arrival of the world’s largest cruise ship, Independence of the Seas, into Southampton in May, its capacity in Europe will increase by 34% in 2008 compared to 2007. This comes after a capacity rise of 50% since 2006.
The ships sailing from Southampton, Harwich, Barcelona, Rome and Venice are Independence of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, Splendour of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas and Legend of the Seas.
The introduction of Independence of the Seas from Southampton, in place of Navigator of the Seas, means the ship capacity on a double occupancy basis will increase by 17%.
Alongside seven and 14 night cruises, Royal Caribbean is introducing a series of taster cruises aimed at first time cruisers.
These four and five night short Western Mediterranean cruises are on board its Voyager Class ship, Navigator of the Seas.
Departing from Barcelona from the end of April to the end of June, guests can experience destinations in France, Spain and Italy, including Ibiza, Rome, Florence, Piza in Italy or Cannes.
