Royal Caribbean names fourth Icon ship
Royal Caribbean has a new Hero.
The cruise line has unveiled the name and amenities of its upcoming fourth Icon Class vessel.
The Hero of the Seas will debut in 2027.
“Icon Class set a new standard for family vacations, and Hero of the Seas takes that vision even further,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO.
The new Icon Class ship will house many of the amenities found on Star of the Seas but with unique upgrades.
The ship will feature a total of nine pools including two in the adults-only Hideaway area zone.
Hero of the Seas will house 28 dining venues, including the Orleans Parish Supper Club with live jazz, and Royal Railway – Hero Station, a new iteration of the train car dining experience found on Utopia of the Seas.
Starting in August 2027, Hero of the Seas will sail a series of Bahamas and Caribbean cruises.
The ship will visit various ports such as Roatan, Honduras, Cozumel and Philipsburg, St Maarten.
Every sailing will call at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
