Royal Caribbean’s Empress of the Seas to sail from Miami

Tuesday, 22 Dec, 2015 0
Royal Caribbean’s Empress of the Seas will sail out of Miami on four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and Mexico, the line said.

The 1,600-passenger ship will begin sailing from PortMiami in March to Nassau, Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico, Grand Cayman and Key West.

It marks a return to the Royal Caribbean fleet after sailing for the Pullmantur cruise brand since 2008.

"We’re excited to welcome Empress of the Seas back to the family, and back to the Caribbean," said Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.

By then the ship will be fully refurbished with the addition of new pools, an adults-only solarium, a rock-climbing wall and the line’s high speed Wi-Fi service Voom.
