Royal to join guests on Oriana
HRH The Princess Royal will join guests onboard P&O Cruises Oriana at Southampton on July 3 to join celebrations to mark the brand’s 175th anniversary.
Following a reception, Princess Anne will join THV Patricia to conduct a review of the P&O fleet in her capacity as Master of the Corporation of Trinity House.
All seven ships in the P&O fleet, with 15,000 passengers and 6,000 crew onboard, will be gathered in their home port for the first time and they will move into formation to pass THV Patricia at Charlie Anchorage and salute the Princess as they are set off on their different voyages.
"We are honoured to have HRH The Princess Royal visit us on this, one of the most significant days in our history, as all our seven ships gather in their home port on the same day for the first time ever to celebrate 175 years of heritage," said P&O Cruises managing director Carol Marlow.
