The RIU chain will be inaugurating its 5-star Palace hotel on the Caribbean island of Aruba this summer after completely reforming and modernising the resort it acquired two years ago.

The new 450-room resort will be called Riu Palace Aruba.

The island of Aruba is close to the the coast of Venezuela.

Riu Palace Aruba is located right on the seafront in Palm Beach, considered one of the Caribbean’s most spectacular beaches, which RIU says is ideal for mid-depth scuba diving and snorkelling.

RIU’s new resort will offer a wide array of culinary options that includes theme restaurants featuring international specialties, local cuisine, grill/steakhouse, gourmet restaurant, Japanese cuisine and Italian cuisine, as well as a number of bars with different atmospheres.

RIU has a total of 13,380 rooms in 29 Caribbean establishments.

The chain began operating in the Caribbean in 1991 with the inauguration of the
Riu Taíno in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).

RIU will be inaugurating its largest resort and new international flagship next November, Riu Santa Fe, in the zone of Los Cabos on Mexico’s Pacific shores.

The Riu Santa Fe will be an all-inclusive 5-star leisure resort with 902 rooms and is the subject of the chain’s largest single investment in its 54 year history: 120 million in euros.

RIU Hotels & Resorts has more than 100 hotels in 18 countries and over 18,000 employees.
