Runway wildlife collision shut down flights at Alaska airport
Multiple flights were grounded at an Alaska airport following a wildlife runway incursion and collision.
An Alaska Airlines plane hit two deer on the runway as it landed.
It caused the cancelation of several flights at Kodiak Airport.
The flight from Anchorage struck at least two deer, an airline spokesperson said.
It said no passengers or crew were injured
However, the Boeing 737 plane was inspected and was found to have damaged landing gear.
The jet is out of action pending repairs.
All remaining Alaska Air flights on Thursday at the island airport were canceled.
