Ryanair announces nine new routes and 1,000 jobs
Ryanair has announced plans to attract 1million new passengers at three North West airports in 2013, providing up to 1,000 new jobs.
The low cost airline is introducing nine new routes to its summer schedule at Manchester, Liverpool and East Midlands airport.
Five new routes to Corfu, Krakow, Lanzarote, Paphos and Trapani will start from Manchester, creating 360 new jobs, claims the airline.
Liverpool will see two new routes to Lublin and Zadar, creating 180 new jobs and East Midlands will see two new services to Marseille and Menorca, creating 460 new jobs.
Ryanair is launching a seat sale with 100,000 seats across its European network at prices starting from £15.99 for travel on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thur in November and December, which are available for booking until midnight on Thursday.
The nine new summer routes from Manchester, Liverpool and East Midlands, starting next March, will be available for booking on www.ryanair.com tomorrow.
In Manchester today, Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary said: "Ryanair today celebrates 1m passenger growth at three North West airports, with 9 new routes, which will sustain 1,000 new jobs at Manchester, Liverpool and East Midlands airports."
