Ryanair backtracks on new bag policy
~
Ryanair has backtracked on its new bag policy which came into force this month, no longer penalising passengers who booked before the end of August.
In a statement it confirmed that it will allow any non-priority passengers who booked before August 31, for travel after November 1, to check in a 10kg bag free of charge.
In addition, around 50,000 passengers who booked on or before August 31 who purchased priority boarding after September 1, since this new policy was introduced, have had the €8 cost of their priority boarding refunded.
Describing the gesture as ‘pre-Christmas gifts’ Ryanair said it means non-priority passengers who made a booking prior to August 31 will not be penalised in any way.
