Ryanair bucks the trend

It was a tough session for travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s equity markets went into reverse.

The FTSE 100 index dropped 17.9 points to end the day at 4892.4, while the FTSE 250 had an even more negative session and fell 45.1 points to close at 6477.9.

Airlines saw the biggest movements – BA and EasyJet fell back, while Ryanair pushed ahead 4.75p to close at 393.5p.
