Ryanair cheers seven years to Alghero
Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline, today (Friday 22 June) celebrated seven years of flying from London Stansted Airport to the idyllic Sardinian destination of Alghero.
To mark the occasion, the seventh passenger to check-in for their flight this afternoon was presented with fabulous Ryanair flight vouchers to Forli – another marvellous Italian destination on the Ryanair network.
The narrow, cobbled streets of Alghero’s medieval town, packed with boutiques, bars and restaurants, slope towards the harbour and sweeping bay. Built in a buttery sandstone that glows a soft apricot shade in the setting sun, it’s Sardinia’s most picturesque Old Town. Long sandy beaches, fringed by pine forests, hotels and bars, curve away towards green headlands to create a spectacular setting.
Ryanair’s UK Marketing Executive Ed Grimsey said: “We’re thrilled to be celebrating seven years of success on this popular route to Italy. To date, one million Ryanair passengers have benefited from our lowest fares guaranteed to Alghero. It’s one of our eye-catching Italian destinations available from London Stansted, with two flights a day, straight to the Sardinian sunshine.
“We deliver the lowest fares to Italy though our amazing Price Guarantee. If you find the same flight cheaper with another airline, we’ll refund DOUBLE THE DIFFERENCE! Ryanair are the only airline to offer the lowest fares guaranteed.
“Italy is real summer hotspot for UK travellers, so the lowest fares guaranteed are bound to be in strong demand. Ryanair have flights from Stansted, Luton, East Midlands, Liverpool, Glasgow Prestwick, Newcastle, Doncaster, Bournemouth and Bristol to nineteen Italian destinations. Book today with Ryanair for the lowest fares.”
