Ryanair moves into Faro and Malaga

Ryanair is opening its 38th and 39th European bases in Faro and Malaga.
Malaga will open in June 2010 with 19 new routes being launched with the creation of more than 200 direct jobs.
The new routes from Malaga are to Aarhus, Berlin (Schonefeld), Bratislava, Eindhoven, Gothenburg, Krakow, Maastricht, Memmingen (Munich West), Oslo (Torp), Paris (Beauvais), Pisa, Santander, Santiago, Stockholm (Skavsta), Tampere, Valladolid, Venice (Treviso), Wroclaw and Zaragoza.
The expansion from the Spanish airport will increase Ryanair’s traffic at Malaga to more than two million passengers a year.
Ryanair will base three aircraft in Faro from March and open 14 new routes to Billund, Birmingham, Derry, Eindhoven, Kerry, Knock, Madrid, Marseille, Maastricht, Milan (Bergamo), Oslo (Rygge), Paris (Beauvais) and Stockholm (Skavsta).
This will increase the airline’s traffic at Faro to 1.3 million a year, sustaining 1,300 jobs in the region.
