Ryanair route releases Greece from “greedy tour operators”

Ryanair is to launch twice weekly flights from London Stansted to Corfu from July.
The low-cost airline now offers four routes to Greece, to Corfu, Rhodes and Thessaloniki from London Stansted and Kos from Liverpool.
With characteristic hubris, the carrier spokesman Stephen McNamara said: “Ryanair is delighted to deliver yet another low fares summer sun route from London Stansted. Greek tourism has been strangled by high fare airlines and greedy tour operators who have been making out like bandits in the absence of a low fares airline to deliver the competition that Greek tourism needs.”
