Ryanair sees jump in festive traffic
Ryanair’s traffic shot up 20% in December when it carried a total of nine million passengers.
Spokesman Kenny Jacobs said the rise was on the back of lower fares and the airline’s ‘Always Getting Better’ customer experience programme.
The airline’s rolling annual traffic to December grew 15% to 117 million passengers and its load factor in December rose three percentage points to 94%.
Meanwhile, central European low-cost carrier Wizz Air saw a 23% rise in passenger numbers during December when it carried 1.88 million.
The airline’s load factor rose two percentage points to 87.3%.
