Ryanair starts Bristol route expansion
Ryanair has put four million seats on sale for £10 one-way to mark the build up of services from Bristol airport.
The seat sale runs until midnight tomorrow (November 15) on 14 new routes.
The airline opened its base at the West Country airport today (Wednesday) with flights to Budapest, Derry, Knock, Milan, Porto, Riga and Wroclaw.
These will be followed tomorrow by flights to Bratislava, Dinard, Poznan and Rzeszow, and to Katowice on Saturday.
The ski destinations of Salzburg and Turin will be served from December 19 and 22 respectively.
The Bristol base is expected to produce one million additional passengers next year, providing competition to easyJet from the airport.
Ryanair UK head of sales and marketing Caroline Baldwin said: “Ryanair’s $140 million investment in two new Boeing 737-800 aircraft for Bristol will deliver one million passengers, 1,000 jobs and a visitor spend of £250 million.
“From today, tourism and businesses in the South West will benefit from improved access and Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares on 19 routes between Bristol and Europe.”
