Ryanair still not the friendly face of travel, say agents
Ryanair might be making record profits, but it still hasn’t won over travel agents.
A recent TravelMole poll found that despite the airline’s ongoing charm offensive, launched in response to falling growth in passenger numbers, it has some way to go to undo wrongs committed in the past.
When agents were asked by TravelMole if Ryanair was now the ‘friendly’ airline, almost 69% said ‘no’.
It has recently lowered some of its most hated customer charges, started selling on GDS systems, increased its carry-on luggage allowance and made a number of other conciliatory moves towards passengers, including introducing allocated seating to end the bun fight when boarding.
However, perhaps it now needs to turn its attention to wooing travel agents.
