Sabre acquires TRAMS
TRAMS, a provider of mid- and back-office solutions and marketing services for travel agencies has been acquired by Sabre Travel Network.
The deal will allow Sabre to meet the end-to-end needs (front, mid and back-office) of a range of travel agents, including small and mid-sized leisure focused agencies, a statement said.
No transaction value was disclosed but more than 11,000 agencies use TRAMS products worldwide.
The company plans to integrate the TRAMS products with existing and future Sabre solutions, the Sabre statement said.
TRAMS founder and president Lee Rosen said: “By aligning with Sabre, TRAMS is aligning with a leader that shares the vision of leveraging technology to help travel agents boost their revenues through enhanced marketing capabilities.
“I see this announcement as taking TRAMS to the next level for the benefit of all of our customers and employees, providing the potential for continued development in technologies that help stimulate demand and streamline agencies processes. “
Sabre Travel network senior vice president EMEA Richard Adams added: “TRAMS has an outstanding reputation in the travel agency community, reflected in its 98% renewal rate.
“We believe both TRAMS and the entire TRAMS team are tremendous assets that will further enhance the efficient marketplace we have built together with our customers. We look forward to serving the needs of all TRAMS customers.”
