Sabre automates Cuba travel certification
Global travel tech provider Sabre Corp has launched a new capability in Sabre Red Workspace enabling US agents to comply with current US regulations for trips to and from Cuba.
The Cuba Traveler Certification capability automates the Cuba travel certification form developed by the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA).
Within a few clicks agents get access to the certification form in order to transmit the required data to airlines, and send the certification form by email to customers.
"Sabre is leading by launching a capability that delivers personalized traveler information, and assists agents by improving their workflow when booking travel to Cuba for consumers in the world’s major outbound market for travel to the island," said Wade Jones, senior vice president of marketing for Sabre Travel Network.
"We are also pleased to work with ASTA on launching this capability, and thank them for their support in delivering an industry first automated process that helps agents to drive more sales," Jones added.
The capability is available for all Sabre-connected agents in the US, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
