Sabre guides agents into Internet arena

SYDNEY – Sabre Explore, the new leisure online booking engine from Sabre Pacific, is being rolled out to Sabre-connected agents across Australia and New Zealand.

CEO of Sabre Pacific, Gai Tyrrell, said that Sabre Explore would allow agents to capture online sales and enter into the internet arena.

“Sabre Explore is a white label solution which agencies can customise and use to underpin the booking process on their own website, so that their clients can get online, compare fares and hotel prices, and even make their own bookings, all while retaining the agents’ commission on sales.”

The interface has been designed to let agents share their expertise, and have a presence on the internet, intending to help them to increase their conversion rates.

“Even small or traditional agencies now have a chance to compete for online sales,” said Tyrell.

The interface provides a comparison of products and pricing on a single screen – including both full-service and low-fare airlines, and Sabre’s hotel Rate Assured program.
