Sabre rolling out GDS media solution for hoteliers
Sabre Corporation is introducing a new GDS content solution for hoteliers to better showcase their service to the travel agency community.
The media solution lets travel agents filter more relevant hotel options based on traveler preferences.
These include options to search by the name of the city, airport code, nearby points of interest, the geo location and amenities.
"The Sabre GDS is an incredibly valuable distribution and sales channel for suppliers looking to reach our global network of travel agencies, and Sabre Hotel Spotlight is an especially powerful and proven tool to help hoteliers drive conversions," said Brian Jorgenson, product marketing SVP – Sabre Hospitality Solutions.
It will start integrating from mid to late 2020, and both Hotel Spotlight and the new solution will be available to the Sabre GDS media customer base.
In addition, Sabre said it will revise the sales and services channels for Hotel Spotlight to simplify the process for hotel customers.
From the beginning of next year Sabre Hospitality Solutions will be the exclusive sales channel for Hotel Spotlight.
Hoteliers wishing to make use of the benefits and visibility of Sabre GDS Media offerings are being urged to contact Sabre and secure their placement in the system.
Sabre says the enhanced visibility of Sabre Hotel Spotlight means a hotel is four times more likely to be booked by agents.
