SACO targets growth in Amsterdam
SACO is expanding in Amsterdam, where a shortage of hotel beds is boosting demand for quality serviced apartments. From March, the serviced apartments specialist is adding a third development to increase its capacity in the Dutch capital from 36 apartments to 76.
SACO sales director Jo Redman said: “Finding a suitable place to stay can be a problem in Amsterdam, particularly at peak periods. Our new properties feature well-equipped and conveniently-located apartments with studio to three-bedroom accommodation ideal for the leisure and business traveller.”
The company’s first new property is an historic timber-beamed house in the Jordaan district of Amsterdam, a ten-minute walk from the central station, museums and galleries. The apartments – from studio to two-bedroom – feature steam showers and Jacuzzis and views over the 18th century church and other old buildings. A one-bedroom apartment costs from £110 per night.
For country surroundings, SACO now offers a modern development of one to three-bedroom apartments in Naarden, a 20-minute train-ride, or 15 minutes by car, from the city-centre. Guests enjoy free use of the sauna and gym and car parking. Prices are £99 per night for a one-bedroom apartment and £115 for a two-bedroom, year-round.
The two additions will feature alongside SACO’s existing Dam Square accommodation, currently undergoing refurbishment. These one and two-bedroom apartments are part of a hotel with 24-hour reception and some have their own balconies. Prices start at £105 per night for a one-bedroom apartment this spring, rising to £145 in July/August.
