Safety beefed up as Thailand tourist arrivals reach 10 million
Thailand tourist arrivals will hit its 10 million target this weekend.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand says the landmark figure will be reached by Saturday.
As the number of foreign visitors swell, Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha ordered improvements in tourist security.
Prayut wants police and tourism operators to enhance security to ensure tourists’ safety.
The PM also instructed the Transport Ministry to lobby international airlines to boost flights.
