SalamAir adds three leased aircraft
Oman carrier SalamAir is boosting its aircraft fleet.
It announced a firm commitment to lease three Airbus A330neo aircraft from Irish lessor Avolon.
A letter of intent was just signed at the Paris Air Show.
Delivery of the first plane is expected in October 2023.
The three new wide-body aircraft will support the airline’s fleet and network expansion plans.
The leased aircraft provide a substantial increase in distance compared to SalamAir’s existing fleet.
They have a dual-class configuration with 365 economy seats and 12 premium flatbed seats.
The A330neo also offers improved fuel efficiency, resulting in lower CO2 emissions.
Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, said, “Adding the A330neo enhances capacity, and meet the growing demands of the market.”
“The extended range of the A330neo will allow SalamAir to efficiently serve medium-range destinations, particularly in the Far East and Europe.”
