Santa Barbara – “Let Others Drive”

Tuesday, 11 Feb, 2008 0

The Santa Barbara Car Free Project contributes to sustainability by offering tourists a REAL alternative – letting others drive.

Tourists can discover the pleasures of a car free vacation and enjoy Santa Barbara on foot, or by bike, bus, electric shuttle, or train.

Tourists can let someone else do the driving (or steering) as they view whales in the Santa Barbara Channel, or taste wines in Santa Barbara’s wine country.

As Santa Barbara sees it, cars are a major source of the carbon pollution that contributes to global climate change. They now offer tourists the opportunity to take a vacation from their own cars and green their wallets as they’re greening the planet! And they offer clients to find out more about their carbon footprints, plus how to save money on hotels, whale watching trips, wine tours, bike rentals, kayak tours, train trips, airport shuttles and more, at the dedicated web site.
