Santa Fe School of Cooking, Culture & Cuisine Tour 2008 & 2009
For nearly two decades, the Santa Fe School of Cooking has been celebrating the rich culinary history of the “City Different.” The Santa Fe School of Cooking has gone from strength to strength and evolved into one of the culinary authorities in and on the American Southwest.
The School has been featured in “1000 Places To See Before You Die” and viewed by food service professionals and the general public as an unequaled resource. The SFSC leads the community in its mission to support local farms, craftspeople, businesses and schools.
Nearly two-decades of teaching, learning and community participation have culminated in the Culture and Cuisine 2008 Tour. You are invited to join the chefs and culinary professionals for a once in a lifetime opportunity experiencing northern New Mexico and its capital city from the eyes and tastes of a gourmand. For four days and nights, you will be immersed in the food, wine and culture with behind the scenes access, hands-on involvement and one on one time with the passionate individuals who have made food and wine their life’s work!
Classes at the internationally acclaimed SFSC will enlighten the participants to the Rio Grande Valley’s ancient culinary and agrarian roots to its present day recognition as one of the world’s most revered food destinations. Guests will tour Santa Fe’s best restaurants and meet the chefs who keep The City Different on the forefront of Southwestern cuisine.
One day and night will be spent at the magical and historical Los Poblanos Inn. It is nestled on 25 acres of organic farmland and gardens on the banks of the Rio Grande. Santa Fe accommodations will be supplied by The Inn on the Alameda, a charming inn within walking distance to the historic Plaza and the restaurants and galleries of Canyon Road. The inn features a lavish continental breakfast, fully equipped exercise room and 2 open-air whirlpools.
This event will be taking place in early September in one of the most photographed areas in the Southwest. New Mexico is regarded as having some of our nation’s most beautiful landscapes.
