SAS exec named Star Alliance interim CEO

SAS executive Charlotta Wieland is stepping in as Star Alliance interim CEO.

Wieland is vice president of alliances & industry affairs at Scandinavian Airlines

Wieland takes over in January 2023.

Current CEO Jeffrey Goh leaves the alliance on 31 December 2022.

A global search for a new permanent CEO has started.

Wieland has been the SAS rep on the Star Alliance board for six years.

She has also been a member of the alliance’s Strategy Committee.

“SAS has a special history with Star Alliance, and I am honoured to take on this role,” she said.
