Saudia, Air India ink codeshare partnership
Saudia and Air India have signed a codeshare agreement to boost connectivity between the two countries.
Going live in February, the codeshare pact gives Saudia customers easier one-stop access to key cities across India via Mumbai and Delhi.
These include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai and Jaipur.
Also, Air India travellers can continue onwards on Saudi operated flights via Jeddah or Riyadh.
These include Dammam, Abha, Gassim, Gizan, Madinah, and Taif.
“The codeshare agreement marks a strategic step forward, increasing connectivity, while offering guests broader access to more destinations through simplified travel procedures,” said Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group.
Saudia has been serving India for over 60 years.
Saudi offers visa-on-arrival for eligible Indian passport holders.
Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Air India, added: “Saudi Arabia is amongst our most important markets in the Middle East, with the country fast transforming into a major international gateway to the region.”
“We are happy to be helping open up the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving tourism offerings.”
