Scoot cancels flights due to aircraft parts shortage
Singapore based budget airline Scoot has been forced to cancel several flights during May citing a ‘variety of operational reasons.’
Supply chain issues are at the heart of it.
The airline says it is suffering a shortage of aircraft parts.
The SIA owned carrier hasn’t said how many flight cancellations it will make this month.
“Scoot sincerely apologises to all affected customers for the inconvenience caused by this disruption,” it said.
“We proactively contacted all affected customers.”
For customers it is unable to rebook on other flights, Scoot will offer refunds on unused portions of their tickets.
Asia Pacific air travel is set to fully recover this year and Scoot’s Singapore Changi base has already surpassed pre-Covid levels.
