Scoot taking flight to Berlin
Asia based low cost carrier Scoot has announced its second long haul route to Europe.
In 2018 Scott will wing its way to the German capital Berlin with nonstop service four times a week from Singapore.
Still subject to regulatory approval, the route will be operated from the second quarter of 2018 by Dreamliner jets.
The airline began its first European route earlier this year to Athens, Greece.
"Scoot’s merger with Tigerair Singapore earlier this year has greatly strengthened our position, standing us in good stead to launch and sustain our long-haul operations. Athens has lived up to our expectations while bookings for Honolulu have been very promising," said Lee Lik Hsin, Scoot CEO.
"We are excited to bring our unique Scootitude to Berlin and can’t wait to launch those great value fares that Scoot is known for."
Sales for the new route will go live in early 2018.
After the recent merger with Tigerair, Scoot has a fleet of 39 Dreamliners and Airbus A320 family aircraft serving 62 destinations in 16 countries.
It launches service to Honolulu this month.
