Scoot touts all-Dreamliner fleet with fare promotion
Singapore based low cost carrier Scoot has become the world’s first airline with an all-Dreamliner fleet following the inaugural flight of its seventh Boeing 787.
"Since deploying our first Dreamliner in February of this year, Scoot has transitioned to an all-787 fleet in record time – just seven months," said Scoot CEO, Campbell Wilson.
"Scoot’s 787 has allowed us to set a new standard in budget travel, with great new offerings such as Wi-Fi Internet connectivity, streaming entertainment and in-seat power throughout the aircraft. Aside from its great cabin ambiance and improved passenger comfort, the 787’s fantastic operating economics allow us to offer even better value airfares," Campbell added.
Scoot retired its last operational 777-200 this week, replacing it with the latest Dreamliner.
Scoot has a confirmed order for twenty 787s, comprising 335-seat 787-8’s and 375-seat 787-9’s.
To mark the latest addition to the fleet, Scoot has launched a fare promotion with economy class tickets starting at just S$8 for flights to Bangkok and other destinations from S$48, excluding taxes and surcharges.
Promotional fares are available for bookings by phone or online until September 6.
