Seabourn orders second ship
Seabourn Cruises has announced an order for a second Odyssey-class ship due for delivery in 2018 at Fincantieri’s Italian shipyard.
It represents an option on a second vessel following the announcement earlier this year of a newbuild scheduled for delivery in late 2016.
"There has been an incredible amount of excitement and interest since we announced the order for the first ship and we’re very pleased that the demand for our brand has allowed us to add a second new ultra-luxury ship to our expanding fleet," said Seabourn president Richard Meadows.
"These two new ships will offer the understated elegance we are known for, as well as new amenities, innovations and modern design features that embody the hallmarks of Seabourn."
Renowned designer Adam D. Tihany will design interior and exterior areas for both new ships, including several dining venues on each, the Spa at Seabourn, casino and lounges.
Both ships will have capacity for 604 guests in all-suite accommodations.
