Search the brochure rack with a mouse
Agents are being offered an “electronic brochure rack” that allows them to search e-brochure content of numerous operators.
The Holidayfinder service can be used by agents to search brochure content according to various criteria such as operator, hotel, resort, or special requests like kids club. It can also be incorporated into an agency website .
The product is being offered by TravelMedia, which was bought by BP Travel Marketing Services last year.
Holidayfinder costs £99 (plus VAT) for the first computer in a branch and £49 (plus VAT) for additional terminals.
TravelMedia claims that the product could help agents to sell more holidays at ‘brochure price’ as well as enabling them to collect emails for marketing activities through requests by customers to have brochure pages emailed to them.
Sales director Colin McKee said: “It’s basically an electronic brochure rack which allows agents, with their customers, to search and select online before going to Viewdata to book.”
TravelMedia says it already works with over 100 travel companies to distribute e-brochure content including Cosmos, First Choice and Thomson. The company also offers services such as e-brochures with agency branding, email campaign tools and website management software.
