Seattle to welcome first Shenzhen flights

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has announced a new direct route to China with the introduction of flights to Shenzhen by Xiamen Airlines.
 
This will be Xiamen Airlines’ first US route and takes off from September 26.
 
Xiamen will operate the route three times a week using Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
 
The route also includes a connection between Shenzhen and Xiamen where the airline is based.
 
Details were announced during the visit to China by Seattle Mayor Ed Murray who is accompanied by officials from plane maker Boeing among other Seattle area business leaders.
 
The airline operates an all-Boeing fleet with more than 150 planes.
